Education

Educational History:

I graduated from Fairfield HS in 1983 and Texas A&M Universtiy in 1987.

Degrees and Certifications:

I have a BS in Curriculum & Instruction with emphasis being on a science composite & a math composite. I also have my CPR certification and AP Chemistry certification.

Professional Development:

I have attended the AP Chemistry conference twice and received 64 hrs of AP Chemistry training. Each year I also attend training to be 1 of the Unlicensed Diabetic Care Assistants (UDCA) for the High School. I have held the position for 20 years

Professional Experience

Current Position:

I started teaching at Fairfield High School in 1987 & have taught for a total of 36 years, all here. I will be teaching Chemistry this year.

Previous Position:

Fairfield was my first and only teaching position. I have taught several classes: biology, algebra, geometry, integrated physics & chemistry, & chemistry. I have coached Basketball, Volleyball, Track, Cross Country, and Tennis. I was also the Cheerleading Coach for 26 years.

Family Information:

I have been married to Steve Stone since 1988.

We have 2 children, Clayton & Caitlynn

Both of them graduated from Fairfield HS, Clayton (2013) & Caitlynn (2015)

Clayton attended Texas A&M University for 2 years and is currently in the Navy. He graduated from the Nuclear Training Program in Charleston, SC on July 20, 2018. He has completed his sea duty aboard the USS Harry S. Truman, an Air Craft Carrier and is now stationed in Goose Creek, SC. He is married to Winter and she is a RN and they have a daughter, my first grandchild, Amelia. Caitlynn graduated from Texas A&M in May of 2019 and is a Civil Engineering with Kimley-Horn in Dallas, TX. Cait has a golden doodle named Rosie and a rescue kitty named Rockie

By the way Steve also, graduated from Fairfield HS in ‘83 and A&M in ‘87, so we kind of bleed Maroon! LOL! I have some orange friends! I’ve even taught a few really good ones!
